Rothman Gordon is a Pittsburgh-based law firm that has been advocating for its clients’ interests since 1954. Rothman Gordon has created a suite of services for individuals, organizations, and closely-held and family businesses.

Based in Pittsburgh since 1954, Rothman Gordon is a full-service law firm that represents clients throughout Western Pennsylvania. With nearly 30 attorneys on staff, we are able to serve clients in a variety of practice areas including business and corporate law; estate planning; commercial real estate; construction law; white collar criminal law; oil and gas for landowners; alternative dispute resolution; workers’ compensation and Social Security disability and more. We are small enough to provide clients with personalized attention and big enough to provide them with a specialized, sophisticated level of legal service. As a longstanding member of the community, we treat our clients like our neighbors and want to be a positive force in our city. We treat clients with respect, listening to questions and concerns, asking about goals and working toward a legal plan that protects and furthers their interests. I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently Jim Carroll resolved a problem I was having with a former employer concerning commission money I was due, but the employer refused to pay. Jim resolved the matter quickly, and to my satisfaction, and I greatly appreciate the time and effort he put in to my case, the professionalism of those with whom I dealt at Rothman Gordon. I filed an age discrimination case using Rothman Gordon as my representative, and I was very pleased with both the process and the result. Colleen Johnston was my attorney, and she kept me well informed throughout what was to be a lengthy process. When the case came before an arbitrator, she was very well prepared. She also made sure that I was prepared, which in turn made me feel relaxed and confident. I would definitely refer Rothman Gordon and Ms. Johnston to anyone in need of a lawyer.

Doug Denardo worked with us to begin and refine our estate planning over the last few years. We've had some fairly complicated (to us, anyway) issues to consider, and he was very patient in working through them with us, explaining things thoroughly and making sure we were comfortable with our plan, as well as checking in with us afterward. We regret having to switch to another firm when we move out of state.
