About Richard J. Suzuki

Richard J. Suzuki, the founding attorney at Suzuki Law Offices, L.L.C., is licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona and the United States District Court. Prior to opening his own law firm, Mr. Suzuki was selected to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable Howard Fell of the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County shortly after graduating from the University of Arizona College of Law. Next, he went to work as a criminal prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Over the next three years, he investigated and litigated felony matters as a part of the Major Crimes Gang and Repeat Offender Program Bureau. After leaving the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Mr. Suzuki accepted a position as the Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Arizona. While there, he was responsible for handling numerous federal felony and misdemeanor cases throughout Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona. This experience now lends itself to his criminal defense practice.

Mr. Suzuki is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and formerly served as the Trustee on the Maricopa County Bar Foundation. As a fluent Spanish speaker, he is also a member of Los Abogados and the Arizona Hispanic Bar Association. Primarily focused on criminal defense in city, state and federal courts, as well as personal injury law, Mr. Suzuki provides aggressive and professional representation for clients facing a wide range of legal matters. Extend heartfelt thanks to RJ Suzuki & staff. My husband was in a near fatal motorcycle accident in 2012. A friend recommended I talk to RJ. When I met RJ, immediately knew I could trust him to help us through this trying time. He & his staff took care of the insurance companies, doctors & hospitals. My rear-end accident didn't have much damage but I didn't feel well. Referred to Mr. Suzuki, gave him a call and we met. He was professional and took time to listen to my concerns. He expressed the importance that I feel better and heal. No police report was done so his investigator took photos and documented everything. Arranged a rental while my car was being fixed; kept me updated and got me more money than I expected! Highly recommend him and his staff, very polite and fought for me!

This firm represented me for a felony of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with a prison sentence of 5 years. Because of Mr. Suzuki's due diligence, knowledge and experience, my charges were reduced. Instead of prison time, I received probation and was released after 1 year for successfully completing my probation. I strongly recommend this firm to anyone having legal problems. You will be treated like a friend. Mr. Suzuki and staff will provide excellent professional service.

Was arrested for an offense requiring mandatory jail. Because of INS status my resident card would have been revoked. I would have been deported. I contacted Mr. Suzuki. He was very friendly and told me he would do his very best. Because of his tireless work and commitment, my case was dismissed. He was always available and calmed me during a stressful period in my life. Highly recommend Richard to anyone needing great legal representation! Thank you again!
