Guy W. Bluff has more than 40 years’ experience in the areas of complex commercial, business, and construction disputes. Bluff has more than 34 years as a seasoned trial lawyer appearing before numerous State and Federal Courts, Arbitration Tribunals, Administrative Boards, and Courts of Appeal. Since 1992, Mr. Bluff has been on the National Panel of Construction Neutrals for the American Arbitration Association and also acts as a private Arbitrator and Mediator.
Mr. Bluff has been involved in more than 2,000 construction related disputes and claims, ranging to in-excess-of $15,000,000. He represents public and private owners, general and specialty contractors, subcontractors, materialmen, engineers, architects, and sureties in all aspects of construction related disputes, as well as complex construction and commercial litigation. Mr. Bluff has also prosecuted and / or defended over 40 bid protest / bid mistake disputes. As an Arbitrator and Umpire, Mr. Bluff has conducted more than 100 proceedings.
Since 1972, Mr. Bluff was directly involved in the construction industry as a laborer, equipment operator, foreman, and project engineer. He is an owner and principal of a mid-size general engineering construction firm working throughout the Southwest.
A prolific speaker and author on construction claims preparation, mechanic liens, and law office technology, he is the developer of and holds several federal Copyrights for complex computer programs for automating document management in law firms.
