About David Matthew Strenfel II

David works tirelessly for his clients, and he has earned a reputation for his professionalism, organization, efficiency, and compassionate approach to every case he takes.

As a family lawyer, David counsels clients at major turning points in their lives. He helps them navigate difficult situations to achieve positive outcomes and understands the immense emotional stresses they face during legal challenges.

David is a firm believer in communication and transparency, and as his clients will tell you, honesty and responsiveness go a long way. When a client works with David, they truly work with him — not a secretary or a paralegal. Family law issues are overwhelming and disorienting for even the most level-headed people, so being able to reach out to an attorney and knowing they’ll get a prompt reply is a significant benefit.

David prioritizes keeping his clients informed, so even during the most complex situations, they’ll feel comfortable and reassured. For him, being an effective family law attorney goes beyond simply working toward the client’s preferred outcome — it’s about answering questions, building trust, forging lasting relationships, and helping the client make sense of complex and tumultuous situations.

David earned his J.D. with a focus on Trial Advocacy from Widener University School of Law. In the legal world, trial advocacy is a key skill — it refers to a lawyer’s ability to effectively represent and advocate for clients in legal proceedings. His intense focus on sharpening his trial advocacy abilities is part of what’s shaped David’s reputation as a trial lawyer. He always has the best interests of his clients in mind, and he’s a patient and compassionate guide — but when it comes to defending his clients’ rights and interests, he’s not afraid to be a bulldog in the courtroom.

Although David is very comfortable in the courtroom, he also believes in the importance of helping families work together to solve their disagreements whenever possible. That belief goes back to when he was in law school when he was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and competed in the East Region Alternative Dispute Resolution competition in New York City.

David has earned the respect of his peers and his clients for being a determined courtroom advocate, but he’s also known for being fair, straightforward, and reasonable. Ethics and professionalism are central to his practice, and David is the kind of litigator who always remains professional — even when dealing with attorneys who don’t.

Whether he’s in a courtroom setting or supporting clients through negotiations, David is committed to helping families find mutually beneficial solutions — including structured settlements that ultimately benefit everyone involved. Because the world of family law can be confusing for first-time clients, David ensures all parties fully understand their options. With his knowledge and guidance, David’s clients can make informed decisions as they move on to new chapters of their lives.

David’s ties to the greater Philadelphia area go beyond courtroom advocacy. He’s a native of Luzerne County and has lived in Chester County since 2015. He now lives in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, where he serves as both a council member and an active member of the Democratic committee. He is married and shares his home with two rescue dogs, Lucy and George.
