Can I terminate term alimony based on cohabitation?

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Divorce lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
You will have to have proof that she is living with someone else.  It will have to be enough to prove to the court that she is co-habitating and therefore under the agreement you can stop alimony.  You can take the chance, if you have that proof, and stop paying alimony, but if she brings you to court, and you don't have the proof, you will have to not only pay the back alimony, but also her court fees.

Can i make my x-wife drop my name

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Divorce lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
No - I'm sorry - but you cannot force someone to change their name back after marriage.  You can certainly discuss it as part of the settlement of your case, but you cannot require that to occur.

Can I kick my husband out of the house if I bought it?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Willie Stephen Graves (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Graves Law Firm
If it was your house before the marriage it's still yours. Yes, you can kick him out, but it doesn't sound like simply telling him to get out will do the trick. You may be able to get an annulment instead of a divorce. You need a lawyer. Go get one.
