Avallone Law Associates is a law firm with an office in Philadelphia, PA. At this office location, there are 4 lawyers practicing family law, adoption law, divorce and 24 other areas of law.
Very aggressive in communicating with creditors and getting great results. In the civil litigation was well versed in the area of landlord/tenant law. In the divorce area was able to get me an excellent settlement. In post divorce proceedings was able to inform a judge of her jurisdiction when making a ruling on an IRS issue.
Mr. Avallone handed my case to his Associate Mr. Abel. Many phone calls went unreturned and after many conferences and conveying my expectations of my case, Mr. Abel went forward making decisions without consulting me. Also, negotiating my child support arrears after I expressly forbid it. I feel I was treated with the utmost disrespect and would never recommend their services. I am also contacting the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Associations to express my dissatisfaction.
I was shocked at the level of incompetence and inability to understand matters of law that is pretty basic. I would not recommend him. At all. There's a reason he is referred to you via legal services on your employment plan. Don't use him. Hard pass.
Very unprofessional & lacks sufficient knowledge of both corporate & personal bankruptcy. Made very serious & costly mistakes, causing me tremendous financial hardship, which I am still trying to resolve years later. Took a $20,000 retainer for a corp. Ch 11, which was converted to a Ch 7 after only 2 months. Submitted the $20,000 retainer to Trustee for approval AFTER I instructed him to convert the case to Ch 7, which should have cost substantially less, and refused to refund my money.
I would NEVER recommend Avallone or his Associates. Avallone assigned atty Zearfoss to handle my Corp. & personal bankruptcies. Many, many serious and costly mistakes were made, which I am STILL trying to resolve years later, and Avallone did nothing to help. They took a $20K retainer for work that should have cost less than $8K but they would not refund my money. Putting my trust in Avallone has caused me nothing but total personal & financial devastation.
I was assured by attys Avallone & Abel that atty Tim Zearfoss was very experienced & knowledgeable in corporate & personal bky law. Unfortunately he was definitely NOT. Their serious & costly mistakes have ruined my life even yrs later. Plus they took a $20K retainer for a Ch 11 Corp. bky which I converted to Ch 7 after only 2 mos. They willfully submitted the $20K retainer to Trustee for approval AFTER I instructed them to convert case & did not refund the huge difference is costs. DO NOT USE!
