Is there a maximum amount of compensation you can receive in a settlement in a personal injury case being injured at work?

Since you were injured at work, you might be entitled to workers compensation benefits. These typically pay about 2/3 of your average weekly wage per week plus reasonably necessary and work injury related medical bills. Be sure that your employer has reported your injury to its workers compensation carrier. The employer has 21 days from the date of the injury to accept it and start paying or deny it. If denied, you will need to file a claim.

That's horrible! I am sorry to hear that.  You may have a case if you can prove the needle was contaminated and that you developed MRSA during the application of the tatoo and not after.  This may be tough to do, but that is the bottom line.

The contractors are absolutely right. Your problem is going to be with Statute of Limitations, which is 4 years for breach of warranty and 6 years for breach of contract. See a lawyer in your area, maybe you could make a case for fraud, and the limitations period on that is 6 years, or 1 year from the date the fraud could reasonably have been discovered.
