Do I have any recourse for an inappropriate action of a manager?

Personal Injury lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
At a minimum, you must contact the hotel management and tell them what happened. Then contact a local attorney. You might be able to shake some more money from the hotel.

How do I get compensation for my injury on the job?

Mark Joseph Leonardo
Answered by attorney Mark Joseph Leonardo (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Dordick Law Corporation
If your injury was on the job, it's a worker's compensation matter and that is generally your sole source of bringing a claim, with few exceptions. If you don't have a worker's comp attorney, you should speak to one soon. I believe, you generally have 1 year from your termination of employment to bring a worker's comp lawsuit. If you were let go in June 2011, you may be out of luck, but you should really speak to a worker's comp attorney immediately. There should be no cost to speak to an attorney to find out if you have any rights.

What can I do after getting an infection at a nail salon?

Ryan J Tomalas
Answered by attorney Ryan J Tomalas (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Tomalas Law Firm
There are 2 issues to consider here: Legally you may have a claim against the salon, however practically my sense is that you will have a very difficult time finding a lawyer to represent you for that claim. Cases against nail salons are quite difficult (we have handled a number of them in the past), since there are always questions of causation, and for a lawyer to justify the time/effort/expense of handling this type of case the injury (and therefore the potential recovery) needs to be quite significant. Fortunately for you, based on the question you submitted, it does not sound as if your injury is overly significant (my thoughts on this would be different if, for example, your infection had resulted in an amputation of your finger and/or a portion of your hand).
