Can we sue the dealership because the airbag they repaired did not deploy?

Probably, yes. And, don't forget the manufacturer of the car and the component part. If the damaged sensors didn't cause other deployment issues and were replaced then the entire commercial enterprise associated with the the design, manufacture, distribution, and retail sale of the airbag system seems to be liable. But, read your manual, not all collisions are supposed to deploy airbags because of a series of engineering loopholes.

What are the liability issues in carrying an item for someone from city to another?

It's not clear what you mean by "transfer, Combinations, and Insurance." Obviously, if the contents of the package are illegal and you are stopped by the police, you may have some explaining to do, hopefully not from behind bars. I would want to know what's inside the package if I were the courier. Maybe you can contact the person who hired you and find that out to set your mind at ease. As the bailee of the property while you are transferring it, you must take good care of it, of course, and insuring it is one good way to make sure you and the owner are both protected if anything goes wrong. If you are thinking that you'd like to insure the package against theft or loss, however, it's hard to know how to do that without knowing the contents and their value. Again, a call or email to the person who hired you would be helpful. If you have any sort of writing memorializing your agreement to courier the package, that will tell you something about your duties, as well.? Without knowing all the facts, it is difficult to say much more.

What or how much should I ask for as compensation for injury?

Howard Dale Mishkind

It is very difficult to give you a figure by email without more information. It is similar to a doctor trying to diagnose your condition over the phone. In your case, it depends on why you had a prosthesis to begin with and how disabling the rib fractures were and whether you have experienced any permanent disability due to the fracture. I would encourage you to consult with an attorney to get a general idea about the potential recovery and I would discourage you from making any settlement demands until you talk to an attorney about this.
