If I have no liens on settlement money, does my attorney have to pay all my medical bills or can I do that?

John W Merting

My office has always paid them, I feel an obligation, and we can get bigger discounts from the health care providers because we work with them regularly. I suspect it is the same with your attorney.

What should my course of action be if I got injured in a restaurant?

Answered by attorney Robert Andrew Michael Burns (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Office of Robert Burns
I'd say that there is aggravated liability. If the table was designed that way I'd think it defective. The wear and use of the table indicate negligence. The attitude there was bad but not illegal. I recommend that you meet with a personal injury attorney for a free evaluation of your case. Likely you can handle it yourself and use Small Claims Court to get a decision if you don't settle. Your kid may need to bang (with protection) on the other glass tables to get them out of there.

Can the spouse of an individual injured in an accident file a personal injury claim?

Thomas C. Bulman
Answered by attorney Thomas C. Bulman (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Bulman Law Associates PLLC
A spouse can claim loss of consortium/enjoyment of life losses, however, unless the spouse is required to provide hospice level care, most Montana juries don't like these claims and may reject the claim entirely. It is a case by case call of your attorney.
