Since the incident occured in Kansas it would be governed by Kansa law on these types of issues.  That being said, I would think you can recover for your injuries from the motel, so long as the action is brought within the required time frame under Kansas law.  You should contact an attorney who is licensed to practice la in Kansas.

What can I do to speed up my personal injury case?

Answered by attorney Reza Torkzadeh
Personal Injury lawyer at TORKLAW
If you don't have an attorney, I suggest you speak with one immediately. If you do have one, I would suggest you ask for a meeting where you can ask any question you like regarding your case. I would prefer an in-person meeting at your attorneys office where they can take the time to explain everything to you.
