I would have to see both the policy and the letter you are referring to in order to give you an answer. I don't blame you for wanting to save a buck, but if there is money at stake, it is worth your while to pay a consultation fee and get sound advice.

Why isn't there a standardized routing for people with possible Traumatic brain injury?

David F. Stoddard
Answered by attorney David F. Stoddard (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at The David F. Stoddard Law Firm
You would probably need to ask a doctor this question. It is my understanding that Closed Head Brain Injuries (TBI) often go undiagnosed. Years ago, I had a client who I suspected had suffered a closed head brain injury based on changes in his personality that his wife described to me. I contacted his family doctor, explained my concerns, and asked if he could refer him for a neuro-psysch evaluation. The doctor was resistant, stating that he would have to do some things first, which led me to believe there is a protocol that he needed to follow before referring him for a neuro psych evaluation. I believe there is a protocol for this. However, it does seem that the protocol for some reason misses TBI in many cases.

How much settlement should I ask for a slip and fall?

Paul L. Whitfield
Answered by attorney Paul L. Whitfield (Unclaimed Profile)

No idea. No fact s here.Slip and fall cases are not well thought of. So many phoney claims and so many claims based on the negligence of the party falling. You have to prove negligence on the part of the establishment and prove that you were not negligent at all, and that whatever it was that caused you to fall was not open and obvious. You don't get anything just because you fall o n my property. You must prove fault.
