If it's his insurance company saying that, go to the repair shop they suggest if you don't want any hassles getting paid (or reimbursed).

How long does it take to get in court for a slip and fall injury?

"Waiting" will not strengthen your case. It may be possible that your lawyer was trying to explain that he thinks you will have a better result in going to court rather than trying to settle sooner. Litigating a slip & fall case can easily take two years, so you may be well on track. Also, the way these things go, there is a great flurry of activity in short bursts, and then months go by and nothing happens, until there is another frantic burst of activity.

Who is responsible for the accident repair and why?

Don't worry about it. In Florida windshield repair is paid for by the car owner's insurance company with no deductible. The car's insurance will pay for 100% of it so the car owners shouldn't try to get you to pay for anything.
