Im suing walt disney after a character attacked my daughter and we caught it on video they have made an offer if $7500 should we accept

Answered by attorney Jonathan Hayes Groff
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Offices of Kirshner, Groff Diaz
Based on the information provided, it is impossible and irresponsible for an attorney to tell you whether to accept such an offer. You have an attorney and  presume he/she has significantly more information than I have.  You need to speak with your lawyer and find out what he/she recommends and in particular why. All I know is a character attacked your daughter. I don't know how old your daughter is; what was the nature of the attack and why; not to mention, the extent of any injuries sustained.  If you question your lawyers representation and advice, then you need to speak with an attorney and have much more information. It would be helpful to have a copy of your lawyers file; particularly the discovery responses, the settlement demand letter and some of your medical reports.

Can be sued if a friend's dog was hit by a car because I didn't close the gate?

Personal Injury lawyer at Black, Lyle & Habberfield, LLP
Possibly. If you have homeowners coverage or your friend does, they may pay for you. Try submitting the claim there first. Dogs are considered property so you may be able to make a property damage claim. Otherwise, since it is your fault for leaving the gate open knowing there were dogs in there, I would say sorry to my friend, ask if they would be willing to split the bills and call it a day. Not worth losing a friend over and the dog would have been fine if you had been more careful. Good luck.

I was injured on a ride at Disney world last year I hired an attorney. Can I fire him?

Nick Anthony Ortiz
Answered by attorney Nick Anthony Ortiz (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Ortiz Law Firm
Yes. You can terminate your attorney if that is what you want to do. You should look to your Attorney Fee Agreement/Contract with the attorney to determine how fees are to be paid in the event of termination. He may still have the right to collect a fee on the claim. You can also hire another attorney of your choosing.
