If I broke my tooth on an M and M candy could I sue them?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
You may well have a case if you can prove that there was some form of foreign or hard object either provided to you in the Eminem's bag or encapsulated in one of the candies. If you cannot prove that you will most probably not be able to successfully claim compensation for your damages. I would suggest that you at least confer with an attorney and then see what you can do with the company.

For a civil lawsuit in a Supreme Court trial, would a criminal defense trial attorney be able to do the trial or would it need to be a civil attorney?

A criminal defense attorney would be "able" to do it, but might not want to. Often, but not always, an attorney who does criminal work is so busy doing that, there is no time for civil trials, and lawyers who do civil cases don't like getting involved in criminal matters.

What can I expect on a settlement for bed bug infested furniture I purchased?

Assessment of damages in a personal injury case requires detailed analysis of liability, the injuries, and the effect of those injuries upon the individual. This analysis includes application of legal principles, evidentiary factors, medical documentation, out of pocket expenses, calculation of future losses and experience in your jurisdiction as to likely range of prospective jury awards. A "cookie-cutter" approach, a standard answer or a formula would be a disservice to someone such as yourself, who needs the help of an experienced personal injury lawyer. To answer the question properly, one would need extensive examination of all the evidence, particularly the medical records. What can you expect to settle for? You can expect to settle for less than you deserve if you don't have a lawyer. Many people use this site to ask what their case is worth. Our answers are always: Get in touch with a personal injury lawyer in your area. That is the best way to get the best result in your case
