What can I do if a medical center sets an appointment without my consent?

Answered by attorney Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Andrew T. Velonis, P.C.
There is not much to do. You can write a tern letter to the director of the medical center, stating your objection. If you do, make sure the letter is not accusatory or confrontational, because if it is read that way, you won't be taken seriously. Although your are justified in feeling offended, you cancelled the appointment and it didn't cost you anything, so there is not much of consequence to talk about.

Could I go to jail and would filing bankruptcy help?

James Peirce Kelaher
Answered by attorney James Peirce Kelaher (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Kelaher Law Offices, P.A.
There is no debtor's prison in the United States, and filing bankruptcy will undoubtedly get rid of that debt; check with a good bankruptcy attorney to determine whether you would want to do that or not after hearing what he or she has to tell you about the ramifications of filing bankruptcy.

My wife ingested glass that was served in a drink at Hilton in California. What should we do or not do?

Answered by attorney Richard Everett Damon (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Richard E. Damon, P.C.
Well, start by having your wife fully checked out by a physician. I'm not a doctor so I can't coomment on the possible harm done or the length of time to wait before she's in the clear. Write a letter saying you expect that all medical expenses will be paid, then present the bills. o not sign a release and keep open your right to sue for additional damages.
