What can I do if I slip and fall in the grocery store?

Answered by attorney Ronald Arthur Lowry (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Office of Ronald Arthur Lowry
You are able to get compensation for an injury that is the fault of the store whatever the severity and duration. The worse the injury is, the greater the compensation. The smaller the injury, the smaller the compensation. However you have to prove fault on the part of the store to recover anything. Do not talk to the store or its representatives any more. Get a lawyer who is experienced in personal injury matters ASAP.

Can an uninsured driver sue over a traffic accident? How?

Answered by attorney Robert Andrew Michael Burns (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Office of Robert Burns
For economic losses only. But, first make sure that some employer/parent/principal doesn't actually have liability insurance on you. No non-economic pain and suffering damages for uninsured drivers. California law prevents most uninsured drivers from recovering on-economic damages after a car accident, even if the other driver is completely at fault for the accident. Non-economic damages include compensation for things like pain and suffering (this is typically the largest category of non-economic compensation), disfigurement, physical impairment, and inconvenience. One key exception to this rule: The uninsured driver will be able to recover non-economics if he or she is in an accident with a driver who is operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and that driver is in fact convicted of DUI in connection with the accident. You'll find this law at California Civil Code section 3333.4.

Can I sue for being sexually assaulted?

Answered by attorney Keith S. Franz
Personal Injury lawyer at Azrael, Franz, Schwab, Lipowitz Solter, LLC
This is a case that I would be pleased to discuss with you in greater detail. There very well may be a case against the apartment complex based on negligence for allowing this person to be there despite warnings about his bad conduct. The fact that he was a guest of someone who worked for the complex helps in that regard. Much will depend on how he gained access to your apartment and the nature of this terrible assault. This is a case that is important to investigate further to seek justice for your injuries both physical and emotional and assure that this outrageous conduct never happens to anyone else at the apartments.
