I disagree with the insurance company's pain and suffering claim offer. Can I ask for a higher offer or consult attorney?

Sue the defendant in small claims court where recovery is limited to $5,000 in Washington. The defendant can't have an attorney represent him or her in small claims court so that puts the defendant/insurance company in a bind. Otherwise, hire an attorney and file suit against the defendant. The offer will increase dramatically.

Can I seek out of pocket medical expenses for child hurt at gymnastics?

You have several problems. You may have signed some release in advance when you began the program. There is a legal notion called "assume the risk" when you participate in a dangerous activity. Also the trampoline is dangerous and everybody knows it. surprised it is in use. Surprised you would let your kid use it. surprised the coach would encourage it. also depending on age of the child the child could be considered partly at fault. Messy matter but give it a try. Talk to a lawyer.

Yes they should get an attorney. Way, way too soon to even think about settling, for reasons too complex to get into here. You are a good friend to be finding out about this for them.
