What are my options if I had a severe work injury?

Thomas C. Bulman
Answered by attorney Thomas C. Bulman (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Bulman Law Associates PLLC
If you are receiving worker's compensation wage loss and medical benefits, you can't sue your employer or coworkers. Who else, besides maybe you, is to blame? Can't sue God either.

How much will my claim be worth?

Answered by attorney David W. Hibbert (Unclaimed Profile)

What do you think ; $ 500,000.00? Really, no one but the jury hearing the evidence in your case will be able to tell you what the case is ultimately worth. Many factors will go into the fight to determin what the value of your claim may be. The include the location where the case would be tried, the amount of injury, permanent or temporary impairment, the bills incurred in your treatment , the other expenses you may incur as a result of the injury , the loss of earnings and lost capacity to earn in the future. Other factor will be involved as well, including your desire for a quick settlement or full compensation for the injury done. Insurance companies know many people will take less if they get money now, and they will offer a "lowball" settlement.

If I was the driver of a car and suffered a concussion, what is the value of claim when victim has no visible injuries?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Aman Ravin Patel (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Loube & Patel LLC
The value of the claim depends on numerous factors. One, what are your current medical bills? That is an item of damage recoverable under Georgia law. Two, what are you injuries? You would need to get a copy of your records to determine what the doctors have diagnosed you with. Three, are your injuries permanent? Yet again, you would need to take a look at your medical records. How long was your recovery? This is an item of your pain and suffering, which is recoverable under Georgia law. Four, do you need future medical care? Yet again a doctor record will let you know that. As you can see, there is a lot of components to look at to determine the value of your claim. I would recommend that if you were concussed, that you talk to an attorney, especially if you were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
