I believe when you need council, you go to specialists with backing and a history. The firm of Weinberger meets those needs related to Family Law. Later in my case Mara Dooskin of the Hackensack office was very helpful, informative and positive. Jeannette in accounting was immediately on any of my questions or concerns. Happily divorced client. It’s unfortunate because they’re all about the money and never about the client. They caused another lawsuit by not handling my case properly and still charged me six figures to prep my case, yet did nothing when it fell apart in court. Just billed me and never helped afterwards. I’ve since had to hire a smaller but reliable law firm.

Working with this law firm was a horrible experience and I warn you to stay away unless you have money to throw away. My first lawyer fumbled through my case and then abruptly was fired and my case was still up in the air and I was left with a stressful mess. The firm assigned me another lawyer at significantly more money who was also substandard and had issues and then she left the firm as well. The firm did compensate me for the first lawyers time spent however the damage was done in the time he took and the delay in my case cost me in court as this was a custody case and starting all over with another lawyer. Then she left left the firm and I was assigned me to an EVEN MORE OUTRAGEOUSLY priced lawyer and I simply ran out of money (bait and switch) and had to go to another firm. I wrote a note to the woman in charge of Weinberger Law and I was not given the curtsey of a reply call or email but instead a bill for money still owed. They are cold and deal in volume not quality.

My female attorney indicated a unrealistic settlement. She also did not respond in a satisfactory way to the defendants attorney. Very unhappy with the Weinberger firm. All they were good about was asking for more money in a timely manner. Stay away, go to a smaller firm with less overhead. There has to be a reason for a high lawyer turnover rate.

I hired Camela Novi and it was a waste of time and money. She was always late for our previously scheduled phone calls. She didn’t conference with me prior to making calls with the other party (to bill). When I asked her about it, her explanation didn’t make any sense. She was always eating when we spoke on the phone and unprepared. I had to take time (money) to explain things to her that we had already discussed. Lastly, she gave horrible advice. I fired her.

With regret I hired The Weinberger family law firm. I initially reached out to the managing partner of the firm Bari Weinberger who never contacted me. I was directed to an associated attorney in the firm who said all the right things to sell me on hiring the firm. Sadly, communication was slow and in some cases non existent. I am not sure if the associate is inexperienced, overworked or just bad. Due to Covid I was never even able to meet with my attorney. At one point I even reached out to Ms. Weinberger to express my concerns and request a different attorney with in the firm as I had no confidence. I never received a response. While response to questions and filings were often late, last minute or never received the bills were right on time and I was hounded to pay. Be cautious, be very, very cautious.

My experience with Weinberger could not have been worse. I had a divorce attorney that was totally incompetent, and after wasting hundreds of hours and countless thousands of dollars trying to get him to do his job, I was forced to hire another attorney. I wasted a year with this company, only to find out that the attorney is no longer employed there. I have reached out repeatedly to one of the partners on this issue, and have received no response. Divorce is extremely stressful under the best of circumstances, and my experience at Weinberger made it exponentially worse. I am so grateful I found a brilliant attorney helped me get everything I was entitled to, and more. Almost all of what my first attorney told me was NOT TRUE, and I would NEVER recommend this firm to anyone seeking competent legal representation
