I echo the first persons review completely. I also had the same poor experience with Mr. Baruh. Over priced for lack of work performed. He lied on numerous occasions and would claim he never said certain things. He claimed to know my case thoroughly, but it was obvious there was little to no focus. Which prolonged my case (so he could charge more fees). My case went South, because of his lack of expertise, that he claimed he had upon retainment. It was a waste of my time and money. If my review saves one person from being taken advantage of by hiring this attorney. This review has been worth my time.
Please be aware of this firm and the attorneys they employ, specifically Jeff Baruh. He is currently being investigated by the CA Bar Chief counsel for violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct. I have never worked with a more unethical, unprofessional attorney in my 51 years. His "bill padding" is unconscionable to the point of fraud. More disturbingly is that he uses a process server company Gotcha Legal Services who are convicts and are currently being indicted by the Santa Clara DA for false declarations, making fake invoices (as they did to me),etc. If you hire Mr. Baruh, he will find a way to make a dollar out of every fifteen cents by randomly calling you on his cell phone on his way to dinner or lunch or whenever he's driving for no reason and billing you each time. Or by ignoring your emails for days on end then billing you for finally replying to why he was not replying to your emails. He will also bill you for secretarial work and just about anything else...
