We hired Mr Knipe for a criminal case. It wasn't until the last 3-4 weeks of case that it came to our attention how many misfilings we discovered in our file after we requested said file due to concerns we had with billing issues on invoices. "Misfilings" =other clients info, drug evals, emails to Pottawattamie County Prosecutor about other clients in our file. No attorney client privacy/privilege there. Be proactive in your case and request your Files and double check file to invoices. We were charged another clients time on one invoice. Lots was revealed when reviewing file to invoices!!
Matt Knipe took my case a month before the hearing. Durung the process he failed to meet a single stated deadline, and was unreachable for multiple days at a time. He ignored key features that lost the case, stating they were irrelevant. Features fully advised in the few short phone calls he managed to make. Evidence was fully available, but told that it was not needed. He took my money but not my case. He spoke to my witnesses the last business day before trial, and minimized my concerns that were the entire crux of what made me lose. We did not have sufficient time to cover the relevant aspects of the case. I will not be recommemding his legal services.
