Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.I hired Abram Heisler during a very high-stress eviction and housing situation while trying to maintain stability for my children. From the start, his priority was the wellbeing of my kids, not just the technical legal issues. My landlord's conduct crossed lines, including discriminatory treatment and legal filings related to my familial status and having children in the apartment. Abram took this seriously. He clearly explained my rights, pushed back firmly when necessary, and did not tolerate intimidation or unfair pressure from the other side. What stood out most was how steady and responsive he was. He didn't create unnecessary conflict, but he also didn't allow inappropriate behavior to go unchecked. He was practical, direct, and genuinely invested in protecting my family's housing stability. All in all, he's a nice human being and one hell of a great lawyer. If you're dealing with eviction, landlord disputes, or housing discrimination, especially when children are involved,
I had the pleasure of having Attorney Heisler lead my divorce case, and I would like to say he was amazing! The case was handled efficiently and very professionally. I would highly recommend Attorney Heisler, he is very knowledgeable about the law and he was very reassuring throughout the process. He has a wonderful personality and kept my moral high. Attorney Heisler is also fluent in Spanish and it was wonderful to be able to communicate with him in my native language. I will forever be grateful to Attorney Heisler in how he managed my case.
He’s great at what he does, goes above and beyond, and takes care of his clients in a way most attorneys don’t. I’ve used him for the past 10 years, and I’ve never lost a case! He’s detailed oriented, and doesn’t promise you the moon and the stars as a gimmick. What he does promise is that he’ll fight your case to the best of his ability (which is does). He keeps expectations realistic at all times.
4.6 rating out of 5??!! Ahh no. HE is a 10 Folks!! Abram, is one of the most stellar human beings I have ever met. So much so, he will live in my heart forever, as his compassion, care and skill, took away my despair when help was sorely needed. You might think this a strange description BUT, Abram is THE ninja turtle iof housing law and no one can surpass him. He IS IT! Like an angel, he stepped in for me and slayed all the dragons in one fell swoop. He revived my faith in human beings and I am eternally, deeply, heartfelt, grateful. Very few men like him on this earth. 🙏 I can’t thank you enough Abram. Forever a hero in my life. Forever. Thank you 🙏
I hired abram heisler for an eviction case where I was being evicted from my affordable home, because it was slated for demolition for an apartment complex. With todays housing market I couldn't find any where to go, and needed to stick it out while i looked for housing. Mr. Heisler was recommended to me by 2 lawyers and a close friend. He was worth what he charged ten times over. He kept me in the house another year, and i got all my rent back for 2022 and a monetary settlement. He was knowledgeable, communicative, and receptive to what i needed from him. I wouldn't hire any other lawyer. And just to note other than the 2 lawyers and friend that recommended him, When i was at court I ran in to an old friends step father who is a lawyer, when I told him who was representing me he just said "You're in good hands", and to top it off he seems to have a great re pore with everyone at the courthouse.
I was in a nightmare with a bad tenant. Abram fixed it. My only regret is that I didn't hire Abram sooner.
Great attorney, He saved me in a pinch with an eviction and i am able to move on with cash for keys when the eviction wasn't towards me as a tenant it was for the owner of the house but the bank took over and i had no clue
I have known Attorney Heisler for fifteen years, and he has handled several delicate, as well as difficult cases for myself and my family. He is one of the most hard working lawyers I know, and...I know A LOT of them, on top of it he is HONEST, and frankly, charges too little for the level of knowledge he possesses along with the exceptional service he provides.{para}I have to also add that he is the MOST experienced housing attorney in Connecticut; in fact, at one time in court a Judge stated to my opponent in court while he was representing me that Attorney Heisler could WRITE the housing "book," as he has so much experience in this field, as well as how the appeals process works, that most every housing Judge that he deals with recognizes his exceptional knowledge in the field, and it was surprising to have a Judge, ON THE RECORD, say this in open court! I have yet to have any other attorney be held in such high regard from any Judge in my lifetime, and I have had plenty of attorneys, esp divorce and housing attorneys.
He is courteous, hard working, and professional. He is a bit overwhelmed, unfortunately, sometimes, due to the amount of pro-bono work that he does, however, it is evident that he is still one of the FEW attorneys practicing today that is doing what he does...FOR THE RIGHT reasons, and NOT for the $$$. {para}You will NOT find a better Attorney in the entire state of Connecticut to represent you. IF you must, call the clerks of your local GA Courthouse and respectfully ask who is the best...and his name will inevitably come up. Another note of interest, in one case when he was representing me, the JUDGE asked him what the law was, and what would be the "forks" in the road that were possible should the Judge find in one manner or another; I have never in my life seen a Judge asking an attorney what possibilities exist once his/her decision was rendered before in my life. It speaks volumes as to his level of expertise, and fundamental knowledge of the laws of the state concerning housing matters.{para}I have recommended him over and over, and will never need anyone when it comes to housing issues again. He is the "best of the best."
From my first day consultation in March 2013 till the present time I had two court appearance under the care of Attorney Abram J. Heisler. He personally went above and beyond what is expected to postpone my eviction from the house till the end of 2013. He enabled me to take care of my family and work for the last 8 months till I am able financially to find another house to move out. Attorney Heisler is professional, trustworthy and compassionate. I highly recommend him...
orney Abram Heisler is a JOKE! Had a landlord Tennant case he agreed to take on for $1000…. Paid him $700 in cash with ALL documentation proving bed bugs in the apartment and how it was re-rented within 2 weeks while my lease was in effect. I wanted my 4,500 deposit back. He appeared in court and decided to settle my case for 1,800 while I was incarcerated on an unrelated case. Upon my release two moths later I was looking for my 1,800 minus the 250 I owed him and was told he didn’t collect it and he can’t cause the LL’s attorney didn’t pay it. It would cost an additional $1k to sure them again to pay which would leave me with nothing…. Makes NO sense to me and I got NOTHING but excuses from him.
