About David P. Badanes

Every family faces unique challenges, and when legal issues arise, having the right support is crucial. Whether you’re navigating the complexities of a divorce or fighting to protect your custody arrangement, I’m here to help you find practical solutions. With a focus on family law, I assist individuals, couples, and families in resolving their legal matters with tact, tenacity, and transparency.

Beyond family law, I also offer guidance to those facing other legal decisions. If you have a personal injury matter, need a Will or Trust, or you are even confronting criminal charges, I provide straightforward advice and representation to help you regain control of your life.

You deserve to have your questions answered promptly, understand what’s happening, and fully understand your options. So, when you work with me, you can expect more than just a commitment to positive results. From the moment I take your case, whether it involves family law, criminal defense, or personal injury, I’ll keep you informed every step of the way.

I do this out of principle but also because I have found, over the years, that having an informed client leads to better decisions and more favorable outcomes. Keeping you in the loop means less confusion, more accurate decisions, and less stress for both of us, which helps achieve the best possible result.

While achieving the best outcome for you is always my top priority, I also understand the importance of efficiency. I focus on resolving your case swiftly, without sacrificing quality, and always aim to keep your costs manageable.

What sets me apart is my ability to maintain high standards of service while moving cases forward quickly and handling them personally. I pride myself on being responsive and thorough, qualities that have earned me recognition from both clients and legal institutions. My approach consistently leads to favorable results, and I’m honored to have built a strong reputation for delivering excellent service.

Before becoming an attorney, I began my career as a computer programmer. I decided to change careers and went to St. John’s Law School. Computer programming and the law require the same degree of precision. Just as in law, even a small mistake in programming can cause everything to fall apart. That attention to detail has become a core principle in my legal practice today.

One of my proudest achievements was graduating from St. John’s Law School. What made this accomplishment even more rewarding was the journey to get there—I pursued my degree at night while working full-time during the day. Balancing a 40-hour workweek (and often more) with a rigorous law school schedule was not easy, but my determination paid off when I graduated in the top 10% of my class.

Today, I take even greater pride in the results I achieve for my clients. Guiding them through complex legal challenges, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, is incredibly fulfilling and a cornerstone of my practice.

Shifting from technology to law allowed me to make a real, positive difference in people’s lives. My ability to quickly identify problems and craft solutions has helped me build a strong, successful practice—one where I continue to make meaningful improvements in the lives of those I represent.
