I was very happy with my experience at Cervizzi & Associates. I had the pleasure to work with Attorney Kraft. My situation was a bit different since my actual divorce had to take place in South Carolina and I was up here in Boston. Attorney Kraft took the time to walk me through any questions that I may have had and made sure I was comfortable with what I had to do in South Carolina.
While my attorney was very good at answering questions, the value for what I paid is not worth it. Over $10,000 for going to court only twice, being told it would only be another $1500 to finalize everything, then after that was paid, owing an additional $850 is unacceptable! I feel they didn't live up to their word and take advantage of people on fixed incomes. STAY AWAY!
Senior attorney lacked fundamental legal skills and failed to acknowledge accountability for mulitiple errors. Divorce is difficult enough. You don't need a sub-par attorney to add to your emotional pain.
THEIR FEES AND YOUR MONEY!!! I paid Cervizzi $7500 on Sept 17. Ten days later on September 27, Cervizzi requested another $20,000. It was paid. But then, just 13 business days later, on October 17, I received an intimidatory e-mail from their billing dept, Samantha Nestor, stating I only had a "credit balance of $1,477.52 and " ...Attorney Cervizzi is requesting an ANOTHER $20,000.00 to continue with representation". In just 13 BUSINESS DAYS this firm ripped through almost $ 20,000. Need I say more...
Unless you have unlimited budget, do not use this firm! My lawyer was silent when my ex's lawyer called me names, and my ex even moved out of state while he had the children. When asked, his lawyer just said it "fell through the cracks", and that was good enough for her! Plus, every week, they ask for more and more money! I was given a quote to complete their services, I paid it, then after court, I was quoted another $800! Just horrible.
Retainer-$7500, retainer next month-$5000, more retainer next month $7500, 2 weeks later retainer $7500, 10 days later more retainer $20,000. Two weeks later request for ANOTHER $20,000 all months BEFORE any trial preparation. Look up “bleeders” in the field of law. STAY AWAY!
