I would strongly caution anyone considering Henri Shawn and his paralegal, Diane, to confirm that their matter falls within the firm’s actual area of expertise. Based on my experience, real estate transactions—particularly out-of-state—are not handled competently. Communication was consistently poor, with little understanding of or responsiveness to another state’s requirements. Requests were inadequately addressed, creating unnecessary delays and frustration. More concerning was the conduct of the paralegal, Diane, whose interactions became verbally abusive and included derogatory remarks rather than professional communication. Taking on matters outside one’s competence and responding this way reflects poor judgment and raises serious concerns about overall professionalism. Even when representing personal friends, basic standards of courtesy, competence, and communication should not be compromised.
