Firm advertises as Family Law Experts. They did NOT know of "Emergency Motion to Stay an Adoption," Refused to perform even basic functions,we learned were MINIMUM:
1.Inform us of "En loco parentis," & file this motion! We later learned this may have won the case.
2.File"Amicus Curae" brief(s) Gillespie told ME to do it-.
3.Gillespie came to court UNPREPARED,intimidated, lacking documents.
4.Key Witnesses not called
5.NO DEPOSITIONS obtained
6.Key trial questions NOT asked, tho printed in advance.

I was a single mom who had very little income and needed my divorce/child support amended. The paralegal I worked with was fired and the new paralegal had no idea what was going on in my case. They charged me for the time I had to bring the new paralegal up to speed. My ex in the meantime took me to court in UT-state of our divorce-and I told her to hold off on any proceedings until I had the order from the judge in Utah. They didn't listen, I had NOTHING changed and was out $3500.Single mom

This was a client from 2009 who sought to change jurisdiction from Utah to Arizona. We did credit the paralegal work, and we did stop work when asked. The case settled in Utah. I hope that the settlement brought lasting stability to her and her family.

Hired Law Firm

Mark Shields advised me to take an absolutely ridiculously low settlement for alimony during my divorce proceedings. The offer was for $1000 per month for twelve months. He and Anna (his paralegal at the time) strongly advised me to take it as this was the best deal I was going to get. That is a paraphrase of a note attached to the offer from my ex-husband. My case was very strong for more money and for a longer period of time. I hired a new attorney who got me $2000 per month INDEFINITELY.

She is very unprofessional. Giggles during meetings and court. Her work is sloppy at best, degrading, and misleading. She sent in another lawyer in her place without letting parties or Judge (poor guy didn't know anything about the case either)know and didn't show up for court once! confrontational, curt, no manners, rants to other lawyers, files motion after motion, constantly bills but promises the she will get all fees from opposing party. Never did.
