Joseph W. Smith is originally from Nashville, married and a proud father. An experienced family law litigator and speaker, he is a member of the Memphis Bar Association Family Law Section and attended the prestigious ABA Family Law Section’s Trial Advocacy Institute. Joe graduated from the University of Memphis and Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. #GoTigersGo Joe serves the community by fundraising for the law school and serving on the U of M’s Alumni Association board of directors. In 2021, the Memphis Business Journal honored him with its 40 Under 40 Award. Joe also serves as Vice Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Family Law Section, serves on the Memphis Bar Association’s Board of Directors, and serves on the National Bar Association Ben F.
