Born and raised in Nashville, Danielle attended Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. She graduated cum laude with a degree in Biology and a concentration in Health Science. During her time in college, she also studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain.
She then attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphries School of Law, where she completed certificates in both health law and advocacy. For two semesters, she served in the Medical Legal Partnership Clinic with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, providing legal services for patients in need. She also served as a fellow with Memphis Area Legal Services, and, over time, gained experience in a wide variety of areas by clerking in criminal law, civil law, and health law. Danielle was a graduate assistant for the Diversity and Inclusion Office in 2021 and a research assistant to Dr. DeSouza-Kenney, Inaugural Fulbright Research Chair in 2022. Danielle was honored as a student speaker at Dr. DeSouza-Kenney’s Fulbright Presentation. She was also a member of Memphis Law’s National Mock Trial Team and placed as second runner up in the Advanced Moot Court competition. She also published multiple articles for the Memphis Bar Association Health Law Newsletter.
Awards and honors Danielle has received include the Dean’s Distinguish Pro-Bono Award and the Top Ten Oral Advocate Award in the Advanced Moot Court Competition. She was the 2020 recipient of the Memphis Bar Association Champion of Justice Award, as well as the Unity in Diversity scholarship and the Judge Ann Pugh scholarship.
Danielle loves spending her free time with friends and family, as well as her dog, Maya. She also loves traveling. She has traveled all over the world, but her favorite place to visit is Beirut, Lebanon, which is her father’s home country and where she spent summers as a child. Closer to home, Danielle enjoys attending Tennessee Titans football games and is a big fan of the Memphis Grizzlies!
