Van Fossen, P.A., we focus on helping seniors and their families with estate planning, probate & trust administration, VA & Medicaid planning, guardianship, civil litigation, silver divorce, and case management. Recently, my wife was was responsbile for helping her Mom in applying for Medicaid benefits. The Law Offices of Amy B Van Fossen were recommeded. Attorney Van Fossen and Public Benefits Specialist Kathy Smeltz served us in a most excellent and professional manner. Kathy is very knowledgeable about the Medicaid system and our point of contact. Always polite, professional and enjoyable to work with, she served us all well. Attorney Van Fossen was always available when we met with Kathy, bringing her expertise and professional manner to our efforts. I am a retired Florida Law Enforcement Officer and I know about the legal system in general as it relates to this area of law. As such, I am very impressed and satisfied with the work of this law office. I unreservedly recommend the services of this law office.

Most of our contacts with the office were with Jennifer Sanchez, Senior Paralegal. She took time to answer all my questions and left me feeling confident that settling my mother's estate would be done to my satisfaction and it was. It was done far more quickly than I expected. She walked me through the whole procedure and let me ask a lot of questions by phone meetings, since I don't live in Florida. I'm so grateful that a friend recommended this law firm.

I was so grateful Amy took my request for Medicaid case for my husband as quickly as was needed. I was so ignorant & confused by all I was being told by others. So when someone finally told me to contact her, literally days before a deadline, I did. And, she accepted, assigned Kathy Smeltz to my case, and things started happening! What a powerhouse she is! Kathy explained everything so that I could understand what was happening, when it needed to happen, and why. She was kind and sympathetic when I broke down several times. I could call Kathy anytime and she would respond quickly. I know I wasn’t her only case but I felt like it. I appreciate so much Amy’s response to my financial issues. She’s an amazing person. My family has used this firm over several years for Elder Care Planning, wills and trusts, power of attorneys and long term care planning. Each attorney had their specialty area. They are top notch in experience and knowledge. Without their expert guidance, we would have made some very costly mistakes. And we would not have known about programs available to my parents. To me it was so complicated, but my emails were always responded to same day. And my calls always answered. The kindness on top of all this, and the availability that continues after the paper work is done is amazing, bar none
