Jon is fantastic! He took the time to really understand my company's needs and give us the best advice. We were successful in securing our desired trademarks. He is very experienced and knowledgeable in the area of trademark and intellectual property law. We were very pleased with his work and would recommedn him highly.
We have worked with Jon on several trademark cases over the years and he has successfully helped us in each of them. He is patient, thorough, extremely knowledgeable and will be our go-to in the future.
Jon is a highly knowledgeable and reliable professional. His responsiveness is impressive, his explanations clear and results impecable. He manages expectations very well. It’s a pleasure to work with him.
Our business is in retail sales and internal brand development and marketing. We have reasons to protect our store and brand name/logos, so that we can invest capital to develop them with the confidence. We started working with Jon Schiffrin 8 years ago. During this time we've established and developed a few different brands and logos, and of course established ownership & use of these marks with the US Patent Office. Jon guided us through this process, helping us to clarify our definitions & negotiate with holders of similar marks. He was successful on all fronts in this effort. We did have another company, engaged in the same business as ours, try to use a similar brand name to our own. Jon quickly and efficiently helped us to achieve a cease and desist effort against this brand. This was done professionally and while inconvenient for the other party, I believe the result was achieved with minimal rancor or disagreement with the other party. We recommend Jon without reservation.
Jon Schiffrin is very knowledgeable regarding a wide range of intellectual property and trademark issues. He is very responsive and is able to effectively explain legal issues and potential risks in a clear manner. He is also very organized and attentive with regards to ongoing items that he is handling, providing timely updates and following up when appropriate.
Mr. Schiffrin has been our go-to attorney to protect our business's trademarks for many years. He has made our business better and made the practice of obtaining and maintaining trademarks easy!
Jon manages our new trademarks and maintenance on our existing trademarks. He is proactive and organized keeping us on track throughout the process. He is very professional and great communicator whether through email or jumping on a call as needed. Overall, we are very happy with hiring Jon and will continue to use his services in the future.
Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome and Martindale-Hubbell accepts no responsibility for the content or accuracy of any review. For more information on Martindale-Hubbell Client Review Ratings, please visit our Client Review Page
Martindale Peer Reviews
Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
