About David J Dischley

David Dischley took a non-traditional route to becoming a lawyer. Enlisting in the Marine Corps right out of high school, Attorney Dischley served four years as a U.S. Marine. During that time, he obtained valuable life experience that contributes significantly to his success as a lawyer. After the Marines and obtaining his Associates Degree from Northern Virginia Community College, Attorney Dischley worked full time as he finished his undergraduate studies at George Mason University (GMU).

Contemporaneously with attending GMU, Attorney Dischley worked for the United States Department of State as a Uniformed Officer and for XM Satellite Radio as an NRCC Controller. Upon graduating from GMU, Attorney Dischley attended Albany Law School for his first year. After finishing in the top 16% of his class, Attorney Dischley transferred to George Mason University's School of Law. Attorney Dischley graduated from law school and passed the bar in 2006.

Attorney Dischley's first legal job was with the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney in Loudoun County. In this position, Attorney Dischley prosecuted a variety of criminal cases from DUI | DWI, Reckless Driving to Murder Cases. Having spent three (3) years in that office, Attorney Dischley left prosecuting to work for a government contractor in Northern Virginia. In this position, Attorney Dischley provided legal support and advice on a variety of international crime issues, drug smuggling, and human trafficking.

After a year and a half, Attorney Dischley returned to prosecuting; joining the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney for Fauquier County. In 2009, Attorney Dischley joined the Bose Law Firm and, as a defense attorney, continued to have successes in the Courtroom defending people. In 2013, Attorney Dischley opened David J. Dischley, PLC where he continues to aggressively and zealously defend his clients.

David represented me on a DUI and a Breathalyzer Refusal charge in February 2017. The incident happened in Woodbridge, VA in Prince William County. He was extremely knowledgeable about the current practices of LE in the area, listened to all my concerns and questions, and ultimately fought and won at court for me.He was able to get the refusal charge completely dismissed and the DUI charge reduced to an Improper Driving charge which was only a driving violation and a $100 fine. Highly recommend!

Mr. Dischley was great. I work for the Govt and I had to reckless driving tickets that could hurt my job. I have had two cases, one in Fairfax and one in Falquir both within 2 months of each other. Mr. Dishley knew where I was coming from, and he worked hard to reach out to the parties involved and the lawyers before my case was heard at court. Both cases were settled for $150, which was better than a suspension, etc. I highly recommend him, especially when are in some serious trouble.

I can’t put into words the talent this man brings to the table. Words on a screen will not do him justice. When I say he is the most competent Lawyer you will ever meet, I mean it. I was charged with a DUI ten months ago and David has been with me the whole time. He ended up getting my DUI dropped to reckless driving with very little legal consequences. It is because of him that my future won’t be hindered from a DUI charge.
