Since 1909, Shaffer & Shaffer has served individuals and businesses throughout West Virginia.

Shaffer & Shaffer PLLC expanded from the general practice of Harry G. Shaffer, Sr. who began his practice in 1909 and was joined by his son, Harry G. Shaffer, Jr. Since the 1970s, the firm has carefully expanded both geographically and in the scope of services we provide. Now in the 21st century, we serve our clients with two offices representing individuals and businesses all across West Virginia and the surrounding states.

Since 1909, Shaffer & Shaffer has grown from the solo practice of H. G. Shaffer, Sr., in Madison, West Virginia to a regional firm of 12 attorneys in two offices. In 1986, the firm moved to its newly constructed 12,000 square foot quarters at 330 State Street in Madison, West Virginia. To better serve their growing client base, in 1990 Shaffer & Shaffer opened offices in Charleston, overlooking the Kanawha River in the historic East End. I was set up with Mr. Cicconi through Allsup to help with trying to receive social security disability. Mr. Cicconi was very knowledgeable about social security disability and was very organized. He walked me through the process and what to expect from the Administrative Law Judge. Without Mr. Cicconi’s assistance I believe the outcome could have been different. I was able to get a fully favorable decision which has offered some peace of mind after almost 2 yrs of dealing with my injury. I would like to thank Mr. Cicconi for his help and would refer him to anyone looking for an attorney who cares about his clients!

He was hired and paid for by Allsup who was coordinating the documentation and submission process. Allsup was employed by Aetna/The Hartford who were the insurance providers for my wife's long term disability.
