Gregory Walker is a native of Atlanta, Ga and is a high school graduate of Woodward Academy in College Park, Ga.
After graduating High School, Mr. Walker went on to attend and graduate from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-med. Thereafter, he attended the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law and earned a Masters of Science Degree in Information Technology & Privacy Law. Mr. Walker then enrolled and graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law with his Juris Doctorate.
Upon graduating law school and after taking the Illinois Bar Exam, Mr. Walker began his legal career as a Prosecutor with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois where he was assigned to the misdemeanor division. After Mr. Walker left the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, was employed as a Prosecutor with the Kane County State Attorney’s Office in St. Charles, Illinois where he prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies. After leaving the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, Mr. Walker was employed as a Prosecutor with Office of the Illinois Attorney General. He was assigned to the High Tech Crime Bureau where he prosecuted felonies throughout the State of Illinois including Crimes Against Children. In late 2014, Mr. Walker left the Office of the Attorney General to open the Law Office of Gregory Walker. During that time, he represented individuals throughout the State of Illinois charged with criminal offenses, both misdemeanors and felonies. In the fall of 2024, Mr. Walker and his family relocated to Texas. He has been licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois since October of 2007 and maintains his Illinois Law License and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since January of 2025. To date, Mr. Walker has argued hundreds of pre-trial motions, handled over 500 Bench Trials and over 150 Jury Trials with his first Jury Trial in Texas beginning the second day he started with the Texas Criminal Defense Group resulting in a Not Guilty.
Gregory has appeared on CNN, CourtTV, Fox Chicago, and CBS as a guest legal analyst.
In Mr. Walker’s personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out, watching College Football, College Basketball, Professional Football, Professional Basketball and traveling. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc in which he has been a member since 1994. Specifically, he now is a member of the Dallas Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. He also is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association, the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Cook County Bar Association(IL), the Northwestern Suburban Bar Association(IL) in which he is on the Board of Governors, and the North Suburban Bar Association(IL).
