Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer. We engaged Attorney Roberts 10 years ago to assist in updating our parent's estate plan. He guided us through understanding complex state tax and estate laws and helped us make appropriate decisions after our father died. He assisted our family in settling our mother's estate when she passed, navigating necessary legal filings, communicating with financial advisors and preparing the estate tax return. We were able to avoid probate. Attorney Roberts is honest, caring and dedicated to his client.
My sister died unexpectedly in January of 2013. She had no will or trust and was owner of 1/2 the home she lived in with another person. I live out of state and John was excellent at dealing with all the legal issues that had to be dealt with to sell the home and settle the estate. I would highly recommend John's service. He is patient, knowledgeable, compassionate and able to solve whatever legal matter you may run into dealing with the death of a parent or sibling. Thank you John.
I was a bit nervous refinancing my home after a chapter 7 bankruptcy several years earlier. But I had known John in social settings and knew that he was diligent and and dependable, so I did not hesitate to hire him. I knew he would cover all the bases for me. He did that as well as set my mind to ease over the process. There were things that I would not have known about without John handling my case. John was also very organized with the paperwork and made me my own file of all my documents. I appreciated that . He also was upfront about his fees and even though my case took a little bit longer than usual, he stood by his fee structure. I would recommend John for real estate to anyone in the Springfield Massachusetts area.
This lawyer is expensive, evasive and does things backwards. Instead of driving the conversation based on his clients’ priorities, he pushes his own agenda-literally, which he will give to you at the meeting. That sets the tone for the meeting-he’s not there to listen and serve the needs of his client. He avoided providing direct answers to direct questions. He was condescending. He was narcissistic. He is more concerned with taking a fee for service than providing value for service. Having worked with a lawyer prior to him on other matters, I had a good benchmark for how a lawyer should be when acting as an ally. This guy acted more like a robot, spitting out information he’s spit out before, and provided the equivalent experience of someone saying “look it up on the Internet.” Waste of time and money. I do not recommend.
