I did most of the leg work for paperwork, when we went to the hearing the lawyer did not try to help me get back payments for the previous years that I had tried to apply for myself. They are trying to charge me for copying and filing on disc information that I provided. I have tried to contact them to ask questions (I have left over 10 messages and have not received a phone call back since they were paid, yet I have not gotten my funds)Why would they ignore me now, well they got there money.

They never call you back. They are oh so eager to sign you up, and then totally ignore you. I am not a nervous Nelly that needs hand-holding, but I am surprised when they tell you 'we need to get you to see a doctor' and then don't call you for two weeks and are irritated when I call to ask what is going on. Communication between client and office is poor at best in my experience.

These attorneys are a scam, I was already in the middle of doing all my paperwork to submit and ask them if I get approved on my own will I be charged, they said only of they have to represent me. I did not need them as I got approved on my own, but they still took 6,000 from my check. They lied to me and got away with it. Do not trust these crooks.

Do not fall victim to this firm. Left with haunting last words from a senior attorney after hear my grievance ,"stop acting the victim and move on. We did our job. You just got a bad judge." After 5 yrs fighting disability, through 2 appeals and now fighting federal with a different firm. The arrogance and lack of compassion from my attorney left me destitute from a devastating humiliating loss. I have now been diagnosed with a terminal bone disease, Drs saying they can now only hope to keep me comfortable. I can only hope this new firm can clean up the pathetic mess of a case Shook and Stone left them to fight. Do not fall victim to Shook and Stone.

This was a good firm until my caseworker departed the firm…. Melinda Cruz was the most understanding patient person I ever met at a firm… but now poor communication,not up to investigating problems with Mail or emails… they need to care more about their clients

Mr. Shook rarely responded to messages and communicated poorly. He made a crucial mistake in my case that later caused me a lot of trouble.

1. The facts in the Complaint were clearly wrong 2. He did not show up for a deposition. 3. I was sent to a collection agency because his office requested medical records and did not pay for them. 4. I provided him with 2 witnesses and he never contacted one of the witnesses. 5. He disclosed a doctor to opposing counsel that I NEVER had seen. 6. He did not inform me of the trial date once the Order Setting trial was issued. 7. He deleted emails without reading them. Hardly returned calls

They represented me in front of the ALJ Charles D. Reite on March 25th 2010. They had not obtained my medical records, nor had my work history. I went and obtained my medical file personally and delivered it to their office only to have it come up missing. Two important deadlines have been missed-one for a supplemental hearing which I later requested. Although I've received no documentaion from S.S. or my attorneys I have been told from the ALJ clerk I have been denied and no hearing granted
