R. Craig Hemphill, PA is a law firm established in 1996 with an office in Jacksonville, FL. At this office location, there are 4 lawyers practicing family law, general practice, divorce and 46 other areas of law.
Mr. Peterson chose to send me a letter regarding the hearing so that I would receive it three days AFTER the hearing took place. He had my correct address but "mistakenly" sent the letter to my old address. I am wondering now, how did he have the right address later (a few days before he filed for the hearing) but didn't have it earlier? I suppose that is why people dislike attorneys... a question of ethics!
Receptionist Theresa is very rude and unprofessional. Repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to ask questions to talk over me, put me on hold in the middle of a sentence, and hung up on me in the middle of me talking. When I called back, she said she didn't know I had any further questions and she needed to answer the phones. Left a message for lawyer and have not received a call back. Have tried to contact him previously since he is supposed to be representing me, to no avail. Terrible.
I would not recommend him. He failed to attend the creditors meeting for my bankruptcy which caused me to have a judgement of 50K. He never told me he would not be in town nor called me prior to the meeting. I had to represent myself. I paid $1500 and he provided no service.
He was very easy to reach and set appointment with when hiring to represent my wife and I. His questions were answered in a timely manner to start. However, reaching Mr. Peterson for any followup questions in relation to summons/subpoena. He was virtually impossible to reach. In some cases it would take weeks (NOT EXAGGERATED) to be able to reach Mr. Peterson for a resolution to a question.
