Magid & Williams, P.A. was founded in 2005 in Jacksonville, Florida. Len Magid and Dan Williams have over 40 years combined legal experience, and both lawyers are Board Certified by the Florida Bar as Specialists in Labor and Employment Law. (There are over 90,000 Florida lawyers, but only 190 have achieved this distinction).

The firm focuses its practice on labor and employment law, representing primarily employees. The firm represents clients in cases involving sexual harassment and discrimination on the basis of gender, pregnancy, age, race, national origin, disability, religion, etc. The firm also represents employees in cases involving family and medical leave, unpaid wages and overtime claims, convenants not to compete, employment contracts, whistle-blower retaliation, workers compensation retaliation, and all other aspects of labor and employment law.

Both individual lawyers also attained the highest "AV" rating. Mr. Magid and Mr. Williams give personal attention to each client in advising them and aggressively advocating for their interests.

Our office is conveniently located in Jacksonville, one traffic light from the intersection of University Boulevard South and Beach Boulevard (close to Memorial Hospital). We are on the first floor of a three-story white office building next to the Piccadilly Cafeteria and have free convenient parking.

Dan Williams helped me negotiate a separation agreement from my employer, then we developed a rather complicated consulting contract with the same company. He is skilled at interpreting the law and our outcome was favorable. Highly recommend.

I contacted Len Magid about an EEOC claim for age discrimination that was ruled in my favor, and I asked for his help in negotiating a fair settlement from the Company. Len gave me his honest assessment of my case and although he was not as confident in my case as I was, he agreed to take on settlement negotiations and initiated communication directly with the Company's lawyers. We were ultimately able to arrive at a settlement that was acceptable to all parties, without having to file a lawsuit. I found Len Magid to be very knowledgeable in his specialty area of employment law and without hesitation I would recommend Magid & Williams for any employment related issues.

Hired Attorney Leonard S. Magid

Mr. Magid was able to get me $5800 in back wages from a private school where I had been employed. The owner did not pay his employees for 6 months claiming he had no money to pay us. Mr. Magid called him constantly--many times a week--until he finally paid the full amount. It was well worth his initial consultation fee and 33% of the net received! He is a great communicator, stays in touch often. I have referred several people to him already.

I contacted Mr. Magid concerning an issue with an employer and Mr. Magid took the time to sit down with me and discuss my rights in the state of Florida and how the state of Florida sees my issues with my employer along with any options I have. He was concise, professional and gave me excellent advice on how I should approach the concerns. I hope I never need to reach out to him in the future but If I do, I know I will be well represented. The consultation was $125 for 30 minutes. I was then to be charged by the minute after that. I was charged on my credit card in the beginning of the consultation before he had done anything else. His office asked for my documents ahead of time and they were emailed. He had not reviewed any documents I sent prior to the phone call and was going to look at them while on the phone. I did not feel comfortable so I stated so, ended the call and got a credit on my card. The focus seems to be getting paid instead servicing the client.

dan Williams is the worst lawyer that I have ever had in my life 80 percent of the time he did not even know who I was or what my case was about and he has never done anything but take my money for not doing one thing he is not someone I would handle not one thing for me nor would I ever recommend him or his firm to anyone I cared about
