Downard & Associates is a law firm established in 2003 with an office in Jackson, TN. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing social security disability and (ssi), personal injury/car wrecks, medical malpractice and 2 other areas of law.
Not happy. I had to do most of the work myself and they get 25%. The most work done was when the attorney came from Nashville to Knoxville to represent me in court. Two months now approved and still no check only aggravation from the "man" at the social security office. No help from my "attorney." The law firm moved with no notice. Calls not going through, emails undeliverable . Smh.
Not any really. After about 3 years I finally received my disability. I did most of the leg work, and was only disappointed because he received so much of my pay out. Money that I needed to live.
In my perception a waste of time and useless. I went to them after being referred for representation for disability. I received only one email to complete a from social security and the same one from them, That is it. Over a year I have not had any communication called up to update my phone number. SO 11 and a half months not one word from them I called to get some information just to get blown off will call you when we have some information while she didn't even know who she was talking to. So that's it even after loosing the case at hand and being denied still nothing not on word of communication from them. Just typing this is more communication than they are capable of. Going to drop their representation accordingly.
Had no problem representing me when they had nothing to do but collect a paycheck, when it comes time for them to fight my appeal, they decide its too much work. But did the cowards call me to discuss my options, nope they made a paralegal reach out to me for signatures on the new case without explaining to me what was going on. Do not trust them, they will not help
They are incompetent. They showed up to my disability hearing with almost none of my documented medical reports. They didn't even know I had a court date until I called and told them and then they were very rude to me, their own client, for absolutely zero reason. I would not recommend these lawyers to anyone, ever!
