How much do I need to invest to pass the E2 Visa Proportionality test?

Answered by attorney David H Nachman
Immigration lawyer at NPZ Law Group
Thank you very much for your question. It is very difficult to answer since it is context-sensitive. For individuals who handle a great deal of these types of treaty investor visas, it is important to review all of the facts of the case and circumstances to fully be able to advise. If you would like to have our office review the information for the investment, we would be happy to do so as we do so for many of our clients on a routine basis.

Green Card processing with FNU in name

Answered by attorney Alan Lee
Immigration lawyer at Alan Lee Arthur Lee, Attorneys at Law
FNU now appears to be a well-known acronym for “first name unknown”. I do not think that U.S.C.I.S. will require your wife to obtain a birth certificate including the name FNU. If she obtains a birth paper with only the one name, that should be acceptable. Due to the limitations of the Lawyers.com Forums, Alan Lee, Esq.'s (the "Firm") participation in responding to questions posted herein does not constitute legal advice, nor legal representation of the person or entity posting a question. Will the embassy grant a visa to a second wife?

Answered by attorney Peter S Kollory (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at The Law Offices of Peter S. Kollory
As I understand from the limited facts, you are still divorced legally. So you don't have any spousal rights in terms of the immigration law. Even if you did, assuming some facts that come up in a personal interview which is missing here, bigamy is against the law in the USA.
