How can my husband with a permanent residency become U.S. citizen?

Answered by attorney Phong Thanh Tran (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Pho Ethan Tran, PLLC
Even if you get married, your husband must still go through the naturalization application process to become a US citizen. However, by being married to a US citizen, the residency requirement is reduced to 3 years instead of 5 years.

How can I make my fiance a citizen so that he can come back and stay?

Answered by attorney Harun Kazmi
Immigration lawyer at Kazmi & Sakata
The fastest way to get him here is a fiance visa. He would arrive in about 8 months and then you can marry in the US and process his green card here. However, if you marry there, it may be cheaper in the long run.

How do I stop my baby's father from being deported?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Kiran Kutty Nair (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Right Choice Law
If your husband has a US born child then he should qualify for cancellation of removal for non-resident; in addition, if your US citizen or legal resident, you may also petition for you husband thereby preventing deportation. However, if he has any criminal convictions or has been previously deported then that may present serious issues. Therefore, please consult with an immigration attorney.
