You have to be at least 21 years old to petition your dad. The petition takes about 4-6 months and once approved, the petition will be sent to the National Visa Center for visa processing at a consulate office in the beneficiary's home country which can take up to 6-9 months if everything goes smoothly.

Depends on what type of case - family or employment? Most family cases are 4 months or less; employment cases vary by category and whether your Priority Date is current.
