Can a judgement of indefinite deportation on a minor drug distribution conviction be reversed after a certain period? If so, what is the process?

Answered by attorney Alan Lee
Immigration lawyer at Alan Lee Arthur Lee, Attorneys at Law
It would appear that the person of whom you speak was convicted of an aggravated felony – distribution of drugs. The immigration laws do not allow a waiver in this situation. It would also appear in his situation that his only relief would be through obtaining a governor’s pardon for the offenses.Due to the limitations of the Lawyers.com Forums, Alan Lee, Esq.'s (the "Firm") participation in responding to questions posted herein does not constitute legal advice, nor legal representation of the person or entity posting a question. Do I have to get out from United States or will I be able to fix while I’m here in the United States?

Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. A lot will depend on how you entered the country and whether you entered on a visa or not. I suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your /situation. (S)he would then be in a better position to analyze your case, advise you of your options and, if possible, make sure that the necessary paperwork and documentation is presented so as not to delay the process.

How can I get US citizenship?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
Are you a permanent resident? Under 18? I would be happy to consult with you on your case. I do charge for consultations but whatever is paid for the consultation would be a credit toward the fees for your case if you retain us for further work after the consult. The consultation can be scheduled as indicated below by contacting my secretary, Janet, by phone or at janet@feldmanfeldman.com.
