How long will my spouse's green card turnaround time be?

Answered by attorney David H Nachman
Immigration lawyer at NPZ Law Group
There are several ways to immigrate to the U.S. One way is by employment-based immigration and another is by family-based immigration. There are also temporary visas and permanent visas (commonly known as green cards). We handle matters like this for our clients all of the time. It is important for our office to do an analysis of the options that are available for your family member and to list out for him/her the timing, best to worst scenarios and costs for each option.

How complicate is our immigration case?

As a US citizen, you can petition for your spouse, and if he entered the US with a visa, he can apply for lawful status at the same time. If you do not earn enough money to sponsor him, you can have someone else be a co-sponsor. An immigration attorney can help.

If I marry my fiance will he get immigration papers?

Answered by attorney Phong Thanh Tran (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Pho Ethan Tran, PLLC
After you have married your fiance, you can petition for him on form I-130 and he can apply for adjustment of status concurrently on form I-485. As long as he does not have any issues of inadmissibility and both form are approved, he will be granted permanent resident status.
