If he gets deported, can he still get his green card?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)

If he gets deported, he could lose any chance of obtaining a green card. Depending on exactly how it is charged, burglary can make him inadmissible from ever entering the country. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced immigration and criminal defense attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give them all of the facts surrounding your husband's case. They would then be in a better position to analyze his case and advise you of his options.

Can my friend get a green car after being deported?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
We would be happy to talk with you or him regarding his options for returning to the U.S. He will need to have a sponsor petitioner in most cases which can be a close family member, spouse, or employer. We would need the details of any crime he was charged with and to review the deportation itself. Was he less than 18 when he returned to Mexico? You may contact me as indicated below to schedule a consultation on these issues. We do charge for consultations but whatever is paid for the consultation would then be a credit toward the fees for his case if we are retained to additional immigration services after the consultation.

Do I need to file for for adjustment of status?

Answered by attorney Marie Andree Michaud (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Marie Michaud, Attorney At Law
If the children are under age 21, file a combined petition and adjustment of status. If the children obtain their green card before age 18, they will automatically become American citizen.
