It is really difficult to predict if you will have a problem or not since that is completely within the discretion of the CBP officer that you meet at the port of entry who will be inspecting you fir entry to the U.S. However, and as you are likely aware, there is no substitute for having a good package of information that explains clearly why you need to be in the United States and for how long. Also, it is a good idea to have documentation that proves your nonimmigrant intent, which was something you had to prove when you went to the US consulate abroad to get your visa stamp. The I-539 form to change or extend status asks whether an immigrant petition has ever been filed for you. A positive answer brings the possibility that an immigration officer may doubt your nonimmigrant intent, which is required to be established in such cases. I do note that in the past, we have had some such applications approved. Having had an immigrant petition filed on someone’s behalf is not as damaging as having applied for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status to permanent residence. Whether the petition is approved or pending does not change the answer to the question of the immigrant petition on the form. Yes, but getting married is no guarantee of getting permanent residence for your husband. He must qualify to get the green card as well. Same thing for your father. Both of these qualify as "immediate relatives" for immigration purposes.
