About Ms. Patricia Ruby Garcia Billings

I began my legal career as a paralegal in 1999 by handling all aspects of the family and estate planning and probate practice for my boss, mentor and friend, Corwin B. Reed.  During my years as a paralegal, I came to learn the importance of compassion and communication in dealing with clients and their legal problems.  I was blessed to have a very patient and kind mentor who taught her to provide legal services with excellence. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans where I graduated cum laude while working and raising my boys. I then attended Loyola - School of Law where I graduated with a juris doctor. Further, I proudly served in the U.S. Navy both in active duty and as a reservist. In 2010, I opened my law firm, Billings Law, in Humble, Texas.  In 2022, after my divorce, I decided to return to my maiden name, Garcia, and rebranded my law office to  Garcia Family Law.   Family law has and is my passion.  I get an immense satisfaction in helping my clients transition from their relationships.  Now that I have been through my own divorce, I truly understand what my clients go through. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
