There is some kind of scam going on in regards the Lien administrator and the state of Tx., the longer they hold your final payment the interest that should be paid to you, goes to a Texas justice fund and that is just not right. So far, I have waited years to get my final payment and there was no SSI involvement in my case back in 1998. This needs to be investigated!!!
Do not use Matthew and Associates out of Texas, Do not!! IVC filter case been going on for years. Said $8,000.00, relieved a check for 500 and something dollars. Almost two years ago sent check for 1,600.00 and all I got was 2100.00 roughly. This place is a joke. I will not cash this check, I want something to be done about this scamming practice. People have lost their lives because of the filter, mine has moved. Lied saying I owe Medicare. Get a personal lawyer Do not file class action suit.
I have been waiting on my IVC filter case since 2017 and I only been told a lot of lies. You can never get to talk to a real person only the call center. I had to take a loan serveral years ago to burie my sister shortly afterwards I signed papers for a settlement that has been almost 3 years ago and nothing. Now I'm beening told that due to fees I'm $20 thousand dollars in upside debt. I have had all type of medical problems from this as a senior citizen I'm still very ill and no way to pay my bills are anything else. I will be contacting the Texas State Bar Association to file an grievance because I do believe that all of use that have been involved with this firm regarding IVC Fiters have been taking advantage off.
This law firm is the worst place I've ever dealt with( and I work in politics). They lie. They don't return emails or phone calls. I'm represented by them for the IVC filter settlement since 2018. Now they've either lost my settlement or they've stolen it. I was told that they mailed my check on Sept. 22, 2023. As of October 16th, no check and zero communication. No one seems concerned or even cares that my check is lost or stolen. I don't even know what to do at this point. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
Do not use them, or you will ref it. I have a IVC Filter Settlement that I have not received. And they have used every excuse under the sun. This well now be malpractice case. This caused me so much emotional stress and financial hardship much less my continue health complications.
I am part of a class action lawsuit which was settled back in September 2021. I have yet to receive full payment. They said I would be paid last year, then March of this year. I have called and called and emailed and texted and written. No $. I have called the Texas Board of Discipline and the BBB. Still no money. Do not use this law firm. You might never see a dime of what they owe you.
Do not do business with these folks. The people who answer the phones are kind but they don’t really have any power to do things. They get your money and it’s held up forever and no one ever calls to update you nor does the attorney actually speak with you. They make all the decisions but won’t speak directly with you. Make sure you do your research before saying yes to dealing with these folks. I know people who have been working with other attorneys on the same kind of case in the same situation as me and they have already had everything handled. Clearly this firm is too big. They call you to take your case but never call you back after the papers are signed. One person told me that they simply don’t have the manpower to handle the load. It turns out they will get more money than I will….
I have an injury that has debilitated me they thought that was worth 10 grand which I was coerced into signing Now im homeless and unable to work. I cry myself to sleep every night.
working with this lawyer was terrible on the Vioxx case. THey has some idiot reading the medical records. Ive been an ICU RN for over 30 yrs and KNOW how to interpret the language. They do NOT. I thought wrongful death cases like this the client got 2/3 and the lawyer got 1/3. They tweeked it so THEY Got 2/3 of the money and suffered NOTHING! OUTRAGEOUS~ I didnt know how to fight them, and I needed that money to pay for my moms funeral. Ended up getting 2k and they got 9k out of the case. AND it was a class action suit, so they really didnt have to do a lot of work. I DID ALL THE WORK! These guys are GREEDY and UNFAIR! I do NOT RECOMMEND
This law firm has been a nightmare to deal with the past couple of years. I have yet to speak to an actual attorney, they don’t return calls, & I’m constantly being redirected to a new person that is “handling” my case only to be told they will get back to me & never do. I‘m extremely disappointed in the lack of legal representation.
