My husband was appointed this lawyer and he refused to defend him in any way. He won't answer calls, his vm always full, he doesn't even give you an email address. He doesn't seem to care about your side or defending you. My husband was sentenced to 8 years on a case that would have been dismissed if only the lawyer would've filed the right forms. My son is incarcerated in Harris County jail on a drug charge (he is a addict and i know he needs help) but Mr Clark is his court appointed attorney and My son asked him if he could get him some type of rehabilitation for his drug addiction which is the 1st step is admitting you have a problem and asking for help, but Mr clark just laughed in my sons face and told him he could receive help in prison when he goes and told him to sign for 2 years! My son has been to prison before and it didn't help at all it actually made him worst. I know my son isn't paying Mr. clark but he should at least try to defend my son especially since the drugs the cops are accusing my son of having where not even found in my son's car or on him they where found a few feet away from my son's car on the passenger side of the car and my son was the driver of the car.
My fiancee has been incarcerated for 14 months has never received a visit from his court appointed attorney. Family members attend court on fiancee behalf and John Clark will not acknowledge us wont come and speak with us at all. He doesn't return phone calls and suggested to me that my fiancee needs to sign for two years without any evidence regarding the case. This attorney needs to realize this is someone child as well as a person livelihood. I pray that someone steps in soon.
