Mr. Villasana was retained through another firm. When he was retained through that firm he attempted to recruit me away from the firm and bring me on as his own client to his firm. No wait it gets better. He then agreed to start work. He missed key discovery submission deadlines. Those deadline mistakes didn’t allow my new attorney to introduce discovery from any expert. Then to make things even better, the other side was having critical mental evaluation being performed on my child that he apparently agreed to let the other side perform and told defendants counsel (I’m the petitioner) we would be present, he never showed up and never even told me about the evaluation in the first place at he was notified about the date and time. Needless to say I did get a positive result from my new attorney but the inability to introduce our expert testimony or enter our own psychological evaluation would have made my case stronger. Stay away from this guy.
